Ph.D. Student, Computer Science
University of Massachusetts Boston
I am an incoming PhD student in UMass Boston, advised by Prof. Tarikul Islam Papon in the Computing Hardware & Large Data Lab (CHiLL). Currently working as a research intern with Prof. Papon, my research focuses on database systems and storage — I am developing SIEVE-DB, a buffer cache eviction algorithm for PostgreSQL, and building a benchmarking tool to analyze the impact of background events on buffer pool performance.

Work
Designed and implemented SIEVE-DB alongside multiple baseline algorithms (Clock, Sieve, LRU, CFLRU, LRUWSR). Running comprehensive performance benchmarks on industry-standard workloads and large-scale cloud experiments. Poster presented at Northeast Database (NEDB) Day 2026, UMass Boston.
PostgreSQL Storage Systems Buffer ManagementDeveloped a novel Edge Graph Convolution Network (EGCN) that integrates node and edge attributes with attention mechanisms for accurate community detection. Evaluated using Overlapping Normalized Mutual Information (ONMI), with applications in bioinformatics and disease-related pathways.
